PB’s Galore at Aquabears Open Meet

Bobcats took a small squad of 6 swimmers from the Age Group Squad to the Aquabears level 3 meet held 27th – 28th June. 

Over the weekend there was some massive PB’s, loads of Medals and an impressive PB rate > 85%.

Great North Swim Success – Lake Windermere

Well done to Harry Pilkington and Grace Pickles who took part in the Great North Swim at Lake Windermere.

Harry, due to his age, could only swim the 800m event, but achieved a fantastic time of 10.53 to win the event out of 900 competitors. Harry took along his dad Phil, who swam the mile event in a

time of 28.06 finishing 212th out of nearly 4000 competitors.

Long Course Training

Please note there will be no long Course Training in July and August.

The next LC for your diary will be held on Saturday 19th September 10am – 12pm.

To cover the additional pool costs there is an additional charge of £5 per person for this session.

Bobcats Shine at North West Regional Championships

At the recent North West Regional Championships Bobcats took 19 qualifiers to compete in Liverpool & Manchester, the Regional Championships were held over 3 consectutive weekends in May/June and the Bobcat swimming squad reached an amazing 47 finals.

In theses finals, Bobcats medalled in 14 events which included 8 Regional champions, 2 silver & 4 Bronze Medals.
