It is with sadness we say goodbye to Seal & Beaver who have been with Bobcats from the age 9 & 12 respectively. Throughout the years both have been perfect role models in & out of the pool & inspiration to all Bobcats Swimmers.

ASA Summer Nationals

The ASA Summer Nationals was held over 5 days at Ponds Forge from 1st – 6th of August. Burnley Bobcats had 6 swimmers competing at the National Championships.

British Summer Championships

The 2016 British Summer Championships was held over 6 days at Ponds Forge Sheffield from 26th -31st July.  Burnley Bobcats had 3 swimmers competing at the Championships.

The British Championships is restricted to the Top 24 Ranked swimmers in Britain so just to qualify is a magnificent achievement.

Seal Rising Star of the Year

Burnley Sports Awards 2016

Congratulations to Bobcats Swimmer Katie Rennolds who was awarded the The Rising Star of the Year who is the current national champion at 400m freestyle, a multiple North West Regional Champion and record holder, England Schools National Champion and had Olympic Trials Qualification for the Rio 2016 games. She is also part of England Talent Beacon group.

Mandy Adult Volunteer of the Year

Burnley Sports Awards 2016

Congratulations to Burnley Bobcats’ coach Mandy Brown who has been named the Adult Volunteer of the Year for her involvement in helping young swimmers develop their skills. Her support has been pivotal in the expansion, progression and success of the club.
